On 23 February we organized an all-day event dedicated to energy poverty in coastal areas. The event was held at the City library in Zadar, Croatia.

Since all of our research, pilot-projects and recommendations so far have dealt with energy poverty in continental areas, the goal of this event was to inform on the specifics of this problem around the coast.

33 representatives of organizations and institutions dealing with social and energy problems were present, as well as the representatives of the industrial sector, NGOs and media. All of the project partners were also present and during the event they shared the experiences from each of their countries concerning the alleviation of energy poverty.

After the presentations, everyone present was given the chance to be a part of a discussion on the possible ways to tackle energy poverty and their recommendations will be taken into account when creating future policies.
